| Striper Fishing | |
Striper fishing can be good year round, but the best months are April through June, and October through December. I prefer live bait fishing although trolling with downriggers or planers can be deadly at times. This area has some great waters for catching big fish. Catfish are truly a year round fishing adventure. Most of the time they are easy to catch and are great table fare. The waters in this area support Blues, Flatheads, and Channel catfish. Fishing for cats is fun and relaxing and cat fishing is a great way to introduce a youngster or novice angler to the world of fishing. | Largemouth Bass | |
| Fishing for Largemouth Bass is not for the unprepared angler. If you are proficient at accurately casting baitcasting and spinning gear then you qualify to enjoy some of the best bass fishing in the southeast. Lake Wylie is a Bass Masters Classic impoundment that is full of two to six pound fish and fish of seven and eight pounds are not uncommon.
